Kala hill, a gabbro intrusion in the mid-Zambezi valley in Northern Rhodesia, was intruded near the contact between schists and gneisses of the area. It is suggested that the intrusion may have been emplaced in an original reversed drag fold whose structure was distorted as a result of the emplacement. Intrusion took place at a late stage of regional metamorphism.
