The Cornbrook sandstone at Titterstone Clee hill, in Shropshire, western England, lies unconformably on Old Red sandstone and Carboniferous limestone. It is overlain conformably by the Productive Coal Measures of middle Coal Measures age. Several outcropping sections are described and a list of the plant fossils contained is given. These indicate a middle Coal Measures age and correlate the Cornbrook with the basal Kinlet group in the adjacent Forest of Wyre coal field.
