Structure is the chief factor determining the location of uranium mineralization in Australia, both locally and regionally. The structural features are northeast-trending faults, shearing along anticlines, and extensive shattering. The uranium mineralization is a late hydrothermal phase; it fills open fissures and is closely associated with the structural environment that facilitates this type of deposition. It is suggested that future prospecting be directed by these facts.
