The distribution of foraminifers by currents is discussed, compared, and appraised. Studies of the Coralline Crag, of Pliocene age, exposed at Sutton, Suffolk, southeast England, show that the foraminiferal assemblages are not indigenous as has been generally assumed. The method of plotting abundance data, used in differentiating between current-drifted and indigenous forms, is explained.
