At Cor, along the Gweebarra river, in northern Ireland, the contact of an epidiorite intrusive body wth limestone is characterized by diopside-, epidiorite-, and garnet-skarns, and a coarse hornblende rock. Diffusion of material of trondhjemitic composition along the contact is considered to have produced the skarns. It is suggested that the hornblende rock, occurring only at this locality, drew material from both the limestone and the epidiorite.
