Relative to recently published discussions by A. E. Wright and by T. P. Crimes and N. B. Dhonau (for reference, see this Bibliography Vol. 32, No. 10, 20 E68-07106 and E68-07107), correlation of the Dutch Gin schists of Pembrokeshire, southwest Wales, with Precambrian metasediments elsewhere in the Irish Sea area is discussed. Although definition of the schists as a clearly exposed stratigraphic unit is rejected, the possibility that plutonic rocks of the Johnston series may have been intruded into regionally metamorphosed sediments of the Dutch Gin headland area is considered plausible.
