On the basis of new exposures in the Ben Lawers range north of Loch Tay, Perthshire, Scotland, modifications in the structural history are proposed. Folds of three deformational episodes are postulated. Those of the first episode are thought to lie on the inverted limb of the Loch Tay nappe. Folds of the second episode are not known from adjacent areas but are identical to folds mapped in upper Glen Lyon. Those of the third deformation are associated with formation of the Ben Lawers synform.
