This book (although it seems to be getting a little ahead of itself by claiming, as it does, to be published in 2007 – yes, honestly, see the copyright page) is intended primarily for undergraduate students in the American University teaching system: those taking ‘liberal-arts’ (non-major science) type courses, but electing to take the occasional (but not too scientific) science-orientated course.
